Warmer Forests
Leaving the loops of the past for a path that doesn’t en
From rivers edge to forest deep
This winding path through sky and leaf
My muddy march on circular track
A squirrel squints, does he know grief
For years, that wooded walk my track
Always back where I first set out
Round and round to my past black
A circle I couldn’t break or slack
Trees teach silence and don’t give out
Time sways like branches moving about
Lets art and nature, all life transcend
Healing trees left me no doubt
My new path will never blend
Circle’s broken, it has no end
And surprises wait at every bend
In warmer forests I can mend

Hey John
Circles broken 😞.heavy meaning beautifully written😍😍
Truly beautiful and touching, John. All of our lives would be better if we spent time, more time, in "warmer forests."
