Love’s Setting Sun
That first kiss
Sheer bliss
On full lips
She knew
It was true
Trust
In worlds yet seen
The truth of it
The very thought
Another
And so it began
Her taste of love
On her lips
And in an instant
An awakening
Like she was born
Passion was her furnace
Where flames
And fairies danced
Her knowing
Her beauty opened
A homecoming
A becoming
To a place she’d been before
A tender love
She told
Then her quiet soul
Turned quick
She abandoned thought
And feelings now in charge
Her confidence roared
Her body moved
To a different beat
Strong
And brave
A dance never seen
Her tattoos kissed and caressed
Her sweat licked
Each drop a gift
And on and on and on
And on she danced
A warrior queen
From an ancient place
And tribe
Returned
Reborn
For her
A new love to breathe
Branded
In her furnace
And so the sun began to set
In tiredness just lay
Her couch to stay
The wind blew through
The twilight view
Her long hair
A mess of love and lust
But her eyes ablaze
Her touch
Her beauty
Ahh, her beauty
Short
And heavenly
A brief affair
Whose sun had somehow set

Wow, this poem beautifully captures the essence of a first kiss and the awakening it brings. The imagery of passion and transformation is stunning♥️♥️
