A Gorgeous View
Simple tale, not much to tell
Met Big G who cast a spell
Twas long ago when world was wonder
Happens us all, this time to yell
-
Your turns coming, of that I’ll bet
Quick and quiet, then the thunder
You’ll wake up, but they’ll forget
Silent and empty in your new net
-
New clothes given but they won’t fit
Itchy as hell, you’ll hate the knit
But learn to wear, wear them well
Try get comfy, and find your grit
-
Alone in marble’s brown rose field
This part hard, but please don’t quit
Forget the gurus there is no shield
So let out a roar no point to yield
-
This new world you’ll learn to live
It will rob all, so go ahead give
And it takes time, so no big moves
Be kind to self, learn to forgive
-
That’s all I got, you’re on your own
But remember this you’re not alone
Packed bags for places I’ve no clue
From where I stood, that’s a gorgeous view

Thanks for reading, I wouldn’t wish grief on my worst enemy so yes sometimes doing nothing is a pretty smart move. Wish I’d known that back then. But upwards and onwards.
Life can be cold and extremely hard. Maybe even feel a little lifeless at times, but we mustn’t give up. Thank you for such a powerful piece, John.
